The Art of Healing: A Journey into Microneedling Wisdom
There is a quiet power in understanding the invisible language of your skin—the way it weeps, repairs, and rebuilds after a carefully placed needle. It’s not just about creating micro-channels; it’s about honoring the wound healing process, about knowing exactly which allies to call upon and when. And that is the heart of what I want to share with you today: a comprehensive path through collagen induction therapy, from the first spark of inflammation to the final, radiant remodeling.
Let me walk you through what this course holds. It unfolds in modules, each building upon the last. The first module introduces collagen induction therapy itself—what it is, why it works, the magic beneath the surface. Then we move into safety and sanitation, because trust is earned with cleanliness. The next module covers the full 28-day healing cycle—what you should expect day by day, what is happening underneath your skin, and what you should avoid at each stage. Following that, we explore best practices for adding products at the right times to maximize results. Throughout the course, you will find short video snippets—one to three minutes long—embedded within the written text, along with clear charts that provide guidelines. I designed each section to be digestible, like bite-sized lessons, so you can absorb the knowledge in small, thoughtful pieces.
To access the course, you first need to become a member of the site. If you are on your phone, go to pensmithskincare.com, tap the three lines in the upper right corner, and you will see either a login or a sign-up prompt. If it says login, click it—the sign-up process will appear, asking only a few questions. The same works on a computer or iPad: look for the upper right corner for the login or silhouette icon. Once you sign up, you can take the course. Currently, the microneedling course is the only one offered, but more are planned.
What Awaits Inside the Modules
The course is structured to guide you step by step. Each module flows into the next, covering:
- The science of collagen induction therapy
- Safety protocols and sanitation practices
- A detailed 28-day healing guide with day-by-day expectations
- Optimal product timing—what to add and when for best results
- What to avoid during the healing process
I built this from the perspective of a fellow esthetician. Please treat it as a starting point—a jumping-off place for deeper exploration. Knowledge is a living thing; you are encouraged to dig further, to study the modality more deeply on your own.
Partnerships to Elevate Your Practice
To coincide with the launch, I have negotiated special deals with two brands that align with the best practices I teach.
Photozyme Bundle (40% Off)
This bundle includes three products I recommend during and after microneedling:
- Serum 4 (HA for slip) – used during the needling itself
- DNA Youth Recovery – especially critical in days 1 through 5 post-needling. It helps mitigate oxidative stress and reactive oxygen species, ensuring the skin heals well. I personally use this immediately after needling.
- THD Vitamin C Lotion – introduced on day six (or any vitamin C, but THD is preferred for its nourishing texture and DNA repair enzymes). The nourishment is crucial when the barrier is compromised, and the DNA repair enzymes support optimal remodeling.
This bundle is offered at 40% off—almost Black Friday pricing.
Current Body LED Mask (10% Off + 5 Hydrogel Masks)
LED and microneedling are a match made in heaven. The inflammation caused by needling sets off the wound healing process—that is essential. But once that process is underway, we don’t need the inflammation to continue. LED lowers inflammation, caps it, and reduces redness while increasing ATP, so the repair systems work optimally. A few important notes:
- Immediately after needling (within 12 hours): Prefer an LED panel that does not touch the skin. If you use a mask, it must be thoroughly sanitized with hypochlorous acid or 70% alcohol. However, it is best to let nothing touch the skin for the first 12 hours.
- From day one onward: Masks can be used but must still be sanitized. The Current Body mask comes with five hydrogel masks perfect for days 1 through 5. These clear masks trap moisture and reduce transepidermal water loss, which is critical when the skin barrier is slightly compromised.
A recommended routine for those first 5 days: Apply two pumps of Youth Recovery, place the hydrogel mask on top, then apply the LED mask. After the session, remove everything and finish with M61 oil for nourishment. This combination soothes the skin, mitigates dryness and flaking, and sets the skin on a strong path forward.
Who This Course Is For
This education is designed for professionals, but it is open to everyone. I truly believe that whether you are performing microneedling or receiving it, you should understand what to expect in terms of safety, sanitation, outcomes, and risks. You should know how you are supposed to look, what is right and wrong in a clinical setting, and how to recognize quality care. Knowledge is power. If you are interested in microneedling in any way, this course arms you with information. However, please understand: completing the course does not provide certification, a diploma, or credentials that can help you get a job. It is purely educational—a deep, informed starting point, almost like entertainment for those who love the art of skin healing.
I hope this story of healing, precision, and empowerment guides you. If questions arise, let them be the beginning of your own deeper study. Take care, and may your skin remodel with grace.
